The handling of the Epstein files by Bondi shows how the Deep State works. I expected the Deep State was going to be eliminated by Trump. Just another Trump promise and failure. Let's see...Gaza...Ukraine...Grocery Prices.....Deep State....and the failures go on and on.  However, he does get credit for border control.

UPDATE....."Lauren Boebert Backs Matt Gaetz to Lead Jeffrey Epstein Special Counsel" Can't think of a better MAGA person to lead it.

Goofy, you can't see this file but we can tell you that there nothing to see here.  My administration will be totally transparent.  Even a child  can determine the inconsistency of what is said and what is done.  No transparency there.  

I for one am done with the manipulation.  I was played once but never again.

I have to admit I am torn about the whole Epstein imbroglio. 

On the one hand I think full transparency is needed, even if there is no actual client list (whatever that means), video evidence of elites engaging in improper behavior, evidence of him being an agent of MOSSAD and/or CIA, etc.  Yes, protect the victims however you need to, which could be done with redactions and no, we obviously don't need to see Epstein's child porn.  The best way to end the fixation is to release the files.  But I can assure you that any redactions will generate lots of theories.

On the other hand, if there is no client list, video evidence, etc. there are a lot of people that knew and interacted with Epstein over the years that I am sure never engaged in inappropriate behavior.  But as we saw with Trump and Alan Dershowitz, just being associated with the pervert can cause a lot of reputational damage and in some cases lawsuits.  So if protecting these people is the primary motivator then what they are doing at least makes some sense even if it is harming Trump's relationship with his base.

What exactly is his base looking for? A bunch of names that voted for Biden? What will they do if Trump's name is there? Or, other prominent Repubs? If there is a list and it is loaded with Dems, Bondi would have released it.  If it is loaded with Repus, then there is no list.  Don't understand why his base is pissed. There is a reason there is "no" list. Bondi is from Florida...so she ain't exactly stupid. She will write a book about it titled "Transparency"

There has been a lot of build up to releasing the information and I can assure you that if there was a list and prominent Republicans are on it they would not care.  They would say burn them all (metaphorically speaking of course).  Maybe evidence exists and it falls into the category of mutually assured destruction....each side wants to protect its own and is willing to let the other side get away with it.  Or maybe it was all hype and there is no definitive evidence of individual wrongdoing except Epstein, Maxwell and possibly Prince Andrew.  I sopmehow doubt the preying on young girls was limited to those three.

But the base sees this as another example of a two tiered justice system where the wealthy and politically connected get away with crimes.  As for me, I am far too cynical to be surprised at this as we already knew that was the way the world works.  Whether that is the case here or not is anyone's guess....and possibly some that know.
