Does anyone know about the Blue Angels being at Dobbins AFB today?
The whole afternoon, kept hearing a bunch of jets flying around. Saw in the distance 4, maybe 5, jets doing routines and making patterns with smoke. Even saw the Bloom. But didn't see anything up close.
Thought nothing about it and took the boys for a walk, all the time hearing these jets. Just before getting back to the house, suddenly hear these jets off to the northwest and heading my way. Right in front of my s/d are 4-jets, blue with yellow-streaks, and the canopies were quite clear. All 4 were banking really slow and very close to the ground. Absolutely cool. Just wish I had my camera. Perfect position to catch the boys, in their strollers, with these jets, in the background, full-view.

Sooo, if those blue & yellow jets doing show-like moves were not the Blue Angels, who were they?
Or, was it the Angels but just practicing?

Where is Dobbins? I haven't heard about this airshow. I know that the airshow at Maxwell is the first weekend in June. I'm pretty sure the Thunderbirds will be there. If you have never been and you think airplanes are pretty cool, trust me, GO TO SEE THIS AIRSHOW!!! I wish I could have heard about this Dobbins show. I've never seen the Blue angels do their stuff. PS, isn't this weather perfect?! Went skiing yesterday with some friends. Awesome day! C-ya.

The Blues are practicing Friday. Military personnel are invited as a kind of private showing. Saturday and Sunday are the real shows. If you haven't seen them, go. They are the best there is.
