Has anyone been successful in finding accurate and up to date marine GPS cartography for Lake Martin? If so please provide source of the marine cartography and which GPS unit you might use. I know Garmin has none and wonder if navionics or C-map might be available.
Thanks.

I use a lowrance combination bottem finder/GPS that uses Lowrance's Map Create CD's to create "custom maps" of whatever area you want. The detail is very good, even showing the name of the dirt road my cabin is on. Most top shelf sporting good stores can demo both Garmin and Lowrance. I don't think there is much difference in the quality of the two. I would, and have, navigated in less than 1/4 mile visibility with no problems. Of course i was at idle speed.

The Garmin 182 C and 192 C are two units that have great detail. You will have to get the appropriate navigational chip and boom you will be in business. I have the Navman 5500i with a c-map nav chip and it also is an excellent unit .

It's really nice to see the forum being used in such an informative matter.
