I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A WEBSITE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. NOT VERY GOOD AT IT I MIGHT ADD. IF YOU WOULD CONSIDER VISITING IT, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT, AND OFFER SOME OPINIONS AND EXPERTISE'. I KNOW I NEED TO SPELL CHECK, SO LEAVE ALL THAT ALONE. THERE IS A LOT TO DO, BUT I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THE OPINIONS OFFERED. I AM OUT OF TOWN, AND NOT SURE I CAN DEFEND MYSELF WITH THIS POST, SO YALL' BE NICE...... FEB, HELP ME DEFEND MYSELF ON THIS ONE WHILE I AM AT DISNEY WORLD WITH THE FAMILY. FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH, I WILL BE AN ADVERTISER ON LAKEMARTIN.COM. THANKS TO ALL.

Good looking site. I would avoid using all caps, but that's just personal preference.

My favorite part - "WIFE SAYS NO" to 04 Eliminator Daytona upgrade.

I agree with cutting the Caps, and the more pictures the better!

Can you make my poontoon do 108?.... nevermind, wife says no

Organized very well, easy to navigate. I'd ditch the font on the black lettering- and too many colors, fonts and type sizes on the home page. Bullits are easy for the eye to follow too where applicable. You did good!

Most importantly it needs more scantily clad blondes! :-)

A little clean up and lose the ALL CAPS you will have a nice site.

Might wanted to consider adding:

Technical Message Board
Viewer Submitted Photos
Monthly Tech Articles
Event Calendar
Under About Us - A phone number.

If you want to be ranked by the search engine you need to at a minimum work on your:
· Page Titles.
· Individual page MetaTags and Keywords.
· Also in the text of each page use branded terms rather than generic -- for example use Mercruiser and Caterpillar Offshore High Performance Racing Marine Engines, do not know if this is 100% correct, but you should get the jest. That is, the more specific the terminology used (no abbreviations) and the frequency of the terminology used on a website and website pages the higher the rankings on search engines.
·On your individual pages if you could have a larger bold font as a paragraph header the search engines see this as an important word or phrase and place a higher relevancy on said terms/phrases.
·All photos should have text alt tags so search engines will rank the photos as relevant data.
·The above Technical. Viewer, Tech Articles, etc will also increase your search engine exposure greatly.

Once you do this make sure you submit the site URL to all the major search engines. Otherwise their crawlers/spiders may never find your site.

Make you a deal a 100 MPH run on the Cat from 280 Bridge to Sinclair’s and back. I’ll buy lunch and you buy the fuel and we can further review your website. Lets see my cost is $25.00 and yours is like $200.00 what a deal!

Just some thoughts, hope they help. Overall a great start, good luck in with your endeavor.

I'll work on it more when I get back in town. I appreciate all the info from you all. Especially the request for clad bikini pics. Trust me, there coming soon. This is not a new endevour, I have had the shop for 5 years, but just thought I might grow it a little. As far as the run from 280 bridge to sinclairs..... count on it. Sounds like fun to me.

Cat,

I'm not a big shot "web" person like the others but I think this is a great site for a first draft. I'm very compressed!

Some things I would recommend:
1. Definitely some more scantily clad blondes. Ric has good eyes.
2. Why can you click on some of the pictures and increase their size and others not?
3. A section called "About the owners". You can put a picture of yourself and your boat and give a little history. Even though at 100mph your picture would be completely blurred. . . . I think it would be a nice affect. For people who don't know you it makes it a little more "personal".

I see you already have had 255 visitors. Just curious from your web stats . . . how many went straight to the pictures looking for Bikini's?

The guy on your message board called "Potential Customer Bob" has a familiar attitude in his post. It reminds me of some of the posts I read on this board.

Good ?;s pikeski. I'll get those pics coming. and I have not figured out exactly how to go about getting the pics from thumbnail to full size on the picture page. That was just something I put together real quick before I left town. I had spent much more time on the first few pages. The site is linked to other marine businesses I do business with, and some of the hits come from there. Also, all of my previous customers have been looking as well. Thanks for the input.......
p.s. the weather is awesome in Orlando right now.

BOB's post has been deleted from the site. All I really wanted was some ideas, but some have to take it to the poverty level I guess. I'll work on it, and make it nice. Thanks for the ideas.

Not sure if you intended for this or not, but on your picture page not all the pictures can be clicked for a larger view.

Oh and where's my picture? You need a picture of me and all the forum trolls. jk

SEND PICS IN JPG FILE. JUST ONE AT THE TIME, I'LL PUT THEM THERE. WATCH FOR IT.
