Just checking on you. Are you OK???? We hope you are enjoying tonights beauty of Lake Martin. We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy it. AMAZING!!!!!!!! BTW, I know what you mean about the logging trucks. One almost ran me off the road yesterday in the curves on 50. They must think THEY own the roads around here. Come see us Saturday (for the gathering). The weather is going to be great and we should be having a good time.

Usually with a controlled burn like what is going on on Smith Mountain you have logging following it. The burn of the underbrush rids the area of rattlesnakes, ticks and other insects that would pester the loggers. Loggers and other woodsmen would know more about this. I encounter enough ticks just golfing to cure me of the woods but this burn seems to be preceding a logging venture.

Hey I am fine and the old ticker is doing great, 110/69. I got the big pond to jump in if the weather gets too hot. We are going to an early 4th. celebration saturday but stop by and have a beer on your way to " Longneck Island ".

Well I guess it had to have been me because I am the only Lakeman on this forum. You can't steal identities anymore. But, I don't remember you sending me pictures. But just in case I was having a senior moment, " thank you ".
