Wonder if some of the houses built at the end of sloughs might drop in value as the lake drops and the water leaves the docks and moves out of sight?

i have wondered why anyone would by those "town houses" called the Cascades down past Maxwell Gunter. those people can play volleyball in the mud out there right now. those places have sold for several K, and it is obvious in a good year you will not have water late summer.

My favorites are the four cracker box houses in the slough to the East of Cascades that I prefer to call Sea-Doo houses. At the 490 level they only have about two feet of water and the only boat you can own is a Sea-Doo. The whole slough empties at 486ft. I believe there are 8 homes total in the slough.

At the beginning of spring some folks on this forum said. " buy ! buy ! buy ! ". Are you changing your advice? Seems to me like NOW is the time to buy when the water is unusually low and summer is almost over.

If someone were selling a lot in the back of a slough that was already high and dry, I still wouldn't buy.

i won't take my boat in that slough at full pool much less now. However that said the first two houses on the right as you enter are very nice with good water and nice view.

My light bulb just came on. I know the slough you are talking about. Very nice, new homes, but no water. I think they have a neighborhood swimming pool which is a very good thing!
There are a lot of deeper sloughs. We have freinds who are mid-way down a very peaceful slough that has plenty of water.

I agree, first two houses are large, expensive nicely done houses--first one has about 7 ft of water and 2d has about 5 ft at 490, but great houses.

have you seen the cascades? those little town houses are cute, but they are stacked one on top of the other. the boat docks are so close i don't know how they maneuver around back there. although right now some of them have no water. people are paying 200,000 and more for those things. YUK!

The 12-1500 sq ft ones off the water are listed in the mid 200s. On the ditch they're mid 300s. Takes all kinds I guess. I couldn't believe the original developer got financing, but he went under and Scroggins came in with the shacks which seem to be selling better. Calling any of those houses waterfront is a real stretch.
