A while back this restaurant in Waverly was receiving rave reviews from the forum for a "nice dinner" experience. Anyone been there lately? Food still good etc.??? Celebrating an anniversary this weekend at the lake and thought about going here.

The food is good. Expensive for my taste. $6.50 a glass for wine. Do not order the Watercress salad.

but also be prepared to drop at least $25 per person. I enjoyed it but more for special occasion --at least on my budget.

My husband and I really enjoyed Yellowhammer. The chef could give Frank Stitt a lesson. We were impressed with the creative menu and the very extensive selection of wines. It has a 'funky" atmosphere- what do you expect from a 1915 Ford dealership? The menu takes standard "good restaurant" fare and really raises the bar. Kobe beef, lobster, pork loin, etc. I hope you enjoy it... Happy Anniversary!

I do not personally know, but I have heard going to the Five Star Plantation wil make going to the Yellowhammer feel like paying for lunch at Jim Bobs. Actually an exageration since 5 Star has a limited seating this Saturday for $75.00 per couple. Choice of Crab Cakes or Beef Wellington. Advertisement in the Aug. Lake Magazine.
