Why has the lake developed a dark brown tinge? For you scientist, the lake has a changed color over the past month--not muddy, just a very dark stain about two feet below the surface. At least on Sandy Creek it almost looks like those Florida lakes with the cypress tree root stain.

I have not noticed this. We are clear in the Cooper Creek area. Do you have someone excavating? Or a recent heavy rain?

please explain further. This is the first time I noticed it; maybe it's because there's been so little rain.

It's still beautiful on the Veazey's and Oakachoy Creek side. It's muddy up in the sloughs because the water has gone down so much but out in the deep water it is a beautiful dark green as always.
