If I hadn't been sitting down when I looked at it I think I would have fallen over. We got our tax bill for Coosa County and it went up over 43% and we couldn't believe it. I'm afraid to see what the tax bill will be for the property we have in Tallapoosa County.

Mine for Coosa Co. was up over 40%. My neighbors got notices a couple of months ago that their appraised value had gone up, but I got nothing. Did you get a notice? I was able to appeal my notice of increase in value in Jefferson Co. this year and I was successful in my appeal. I would think they would be required to notify you of that much of an increase. P.S. Headed to the lake now and will not be back on PC until Wednesday night.

We did get that a couple months ago. Of course, we have nothing to compare it to since we signed the papers on it on Oct 31st last year. The county appraisal came in $10,000 under the real estate appraisal. The real estate apprasial was about $35,000 more than the actual purchase price we paid.

Have fun at the lake! We were there last weekend but unable to go this weekend. It was nice and quiet! Just the way I like it.
