Over the years I've heard many a home remedy for "what ails ya". Heard a couple this weekend that I thought were quite interesting:

1. Eat a banana and chop up the peel. Place chopped peel in pint of green alcohol (next to the white alcohol?). Let sit for 24 hours, then rub on painful joints, sore muscles etc.

2. Soot from the fireplace, cob webs and sugar. Mix together into a salve to place on cuts, cover with a bandaid. Allegedly better than sutures!

To throw up and get rid of the hic-ups try this, works every time. Bend over and stick a finger down your throat, with the other hand stick a finger up your anus,and switch them real quick.

For chapped lips rub fresh cows dung on the lips. This will not heal the chapped lips but it will keep you from licking them.
