We were up there this weekend and it was very quiet compared to last weekend. We stopped at Veazy's Saturday to get some gas and the guy at the marina said it had been very quiet. Guess everyone got their feel of the lake last weekend? Me, just makes me want to go more and not come home to the real world.

Do you mind my asking what they are charging for gas. And are they selling pizza and/or any other food.

Regular was $3.80 gallon. No pizza but I did notice that there is some sub sandwiches in the cooler. It isn't really stocked much, I'm wondering if they are just feeling the water to see if it will take off. Memorial day weekend when I went in they had bought hamburger and hotdog buns from Wal-Mart and had them in there for sale. My daughter (who is 3) just likes to go for the ice cream. As long as they have ice cream and gas I guess we are okay.

Yes, it wasn't as crowded as usual this weekend. It was very nice, however. I usually don't like the wind(I hate fishing in a stiff breeze), but on Sunday the wind made it perfect for a nice nap in the hammock. Even if I didn't have a boat out or didn't go fishing, there was still plenty to do, but the best part was just relaxing. If more people realize that they don't need expensive toys to enjoy the lake, then it will always be crowded.
