Grand "pre-opening" tomorrow night from 5-8. 20,000 expected to be there. If they all spend $20 (and they will) that represents only $1600 in taxes to Prattville in the first 3 hours the store is open.
Thanks to Russell Lands for running them out of Alex City when they first showed an interest to locate here. We don't need that kind of chaos or development here in "God's Country!"

What about all of the politicians that have turned Montgomery into a war zone? By the way, I won't be there on Wednesday, but I plan on spending a lot more than $20 soon afterwards.

Well, I checked things out. I waited until the worst of the crowds thinned out, and did a quick walk through. I even managed to get out of there without spending anything. However, tomorrow is another day.

There wasnt nearly that many people down there. I think the count was around 7000-8000 people that entered the store. My dad works down there in the fishing section and he said it was a madhouse wednesday and thursday. I havent been able to talk to him today. We got to go in tuesday night and shop during the family night. It is by far the nicest Bass Pro shops ive been in. Yeah i know its brand new, but it is NICE. Its a neat place to take the kids. They all love the two aquariums and all the "wildlife" in there.
