I was curious and not doing anything at work (dont tell the boss) and started flipping backwards in the water level calendar and this is what I noticed.

It started keeping records in Oct of 2002.

The water level rose to 472+ in May of 2003 and was above full pool for more than a week.

During those times I did not notice that the water levels were anywhere near the low levels that they are now in August .

472 I bet that was interesting to see, I saw a picture somewhere of clear creek and the water was way up in peoples yards. I just wish we would have a good steady rain for 1 week.

I have two pics of our property from that flood - we live right in the bend near poorhouse. We were cleaning 30' tall tree's out of our slew for weeks as the water subsided. I had firewood for like 2 years piled up for both me and my neighbor.

If I remember correctly, that was the year the water patrols (Hufaker's) boat got away from the dock at Riverside along with a few others and floated to the dam before anyone noticed. There was a nice picture of one of the boats in one of the local papers just banging away against the dam.

The good thing about a flood is it pulls all the trash down the river cleans up the poorly built docks and saves a hard weekend of volunteer time when the "sweep the shores" campaign is going on. :o)

Yeah, and if I remember corectly, the last major drought we had was in '00 or maybe '01. Which was kinda my point a few weeks ago asking about floods. We're due.

Thanks for the research.

TWJ

Last week I met a couple of young brothers that had a wakeboard boat and said they live up near where you say you live. One had a Superman Tatoo on front of his shoulder.

Would you happen to know them?

The only person I know with a wakeboard boat is you.
