Article says something about "water saving devices" put in homes. Would that be some sort of water restrictor? Not sure I understand what that device would be/do.

Older toilets use much more water than new ones. Also, you can buy water saving shower heads and faucet restrictors. We just purchased a new high efficiency clothes washer that uses up to 75% less water than conventional models....I think these are examples of such devices.

Another thing you can do is put a half gallon milk jug in your toilets tank.

Yes...or even more than one depending on the size of the tank (don't forget to fill it with water and cap it off first)

Saw a news clip yesterday that all toilets and shower heads manufactured after 1993 use less water than the older models.

The humerous part of this commentary is that Bookman blames the legislature for not allocating monies to fund a study determining how much water is available until now!
I would imagine that any information needed by the Georgia legislature can be gleaned from the COE with a simple phone call. Read the blog afterward, we have had very intelligent debate on this site for over 8 months that we should be proud of.
