So I know there are about 10ish regulars on here chatting regularly,,,,,,,,,,,

How many lurkers are watching?

If we plan another meet and greet in April/May who would be interested in coming..........2 weekends in a row so everyones schedule can accomodate.

Everyone at least say hello and if you see the regulars plan something come join in, I know I dont have enough friends.

Speak up - Dont be shy

I am Other Steve

I won't make the LMLPA meeting next week. And once again, you're right Steve. The lake is looking great. I got home just before dark last night and it's beautiful. If they leave the plug in, we could be full by the end of the month.

Peace,
<><

Hello,

New guy here. I am getting ready to build a weekend place just north of Clear creek. I just wanted to speak up and say hey. I will probably become more active here as the new house and summer progresses.

Add me to the list. I met a few of you last year, but would like to meet the others. You never know when you might need a friend out on the water! I'll be there tomorrow (Saturday) to air out my place, and wet a hook. Be safe & see you soon.

Alrighty then we just might have some parties this year............

Chris I am just below Clear Creek, are you building in a slough or the main channel?

Matt Welcome,,,,,,,,,

I say whenever we plan something we plan one weekend on the lower end near the dam like Pier 59 or is it Clear Creek marina inside the cove where you can get gas also...........

And the next time up past Stemley Bridge,,,,,,,I am still looking for a good place to stop and eat and or get an adult beverage........... So someone up that way suggest a couple of spots and sometime soon we can make some plans.

I know there are more people out there so speak up.........

Hi Steve, glad to see things are going good for you. Like you, I'm chomping at the bit for weekends on the water. I'll definately catch you at P59. Hello to all of the new lake lovers, as well as the old ones. Be safe.

Mostly a lurker. Got a spot on the lake but not a full time resident (Paradise Point off of Griffit Bend). Like to see that the web site says the lake is at 462.5! Woo-hoo!

I may be coming over this weekend just to check on things....and maybe do a little fishing. Don't own a power boat yet (hence the log in name)....thought buying a place on the lake should be first!

Once I get the boat we'll see about catching up on some of the cruising being planned. I look forward to it.

Another John.

Not sure where Paradise Point is but if it is on the bottom end of the lake I dont mind giving you a ride to P59 or clear creek or wherever we all get together......

I am a weekend warrior too........

Whenever the plan comes together dont hesitate to ask for a ride.

I think any of us would be glad to give you a ride to a get together. It's also good to see another John on here. Right Steve, & Steve, & Steve? A spot on the lake comes before speed boats do.

One attracts the other, if you have a boat you will have friends that have a place, if you have a place you will have friends that have a boat........

common denominator is FRIENDS,,,,,,,,,Right?

I've been on the lake for 2 years now, Stemley Cove, and there really isn't any place good to pull up too that much. Poor House was outstanding barbecue summer before last, but those folks left and the ones that replaced them were ok, but not near as good. It's also just screened in sitting and not much at that.

Surprisingly, Riverside has just about nothing. I would think with it being such a large put in spot, someone would have opened a good spot there with gas and eats and all.

I'm still planning on going to the meeting.

I skied yesterday and both days last weekend. Beaucoup bass boats....Lots of boat chop. If it hadn't been for the boats the water would have been perfect. Not a hint of wind. My niece wanted to tube so I went with her hoping the water would calm down. It finally did around 4pm.
The water is still really cold.

I ran into ObiWan Mechanic last Sunday and asked him how old he was. He's 88 (and a half).

Came home from the lake to go with my son to see the Parliament House imploded this morning. That was AWESOME. Film at 11.

Well, I'm still here also. I don't know, but I think I am still "new" Steve. I have been working way to much and have not had time to get on line.. Oh yea, we did go spend a week in Vail Co. last week. We saw what 15' of snow looks like. IT'S DEEP!!!! Hope everyone is doing well.

See Ya,
Steve D.

Hey guys I am officially sounding off. We bought our house off of Stemley Road back in August. It is my favorite place to be. I've been on here once asking about snakes a while back. I like to keep updated by reading the forum. We (my hubby and I ) are planning to go to the meeting tomorrow night. This is the highest the water has been since we bought the house and we are lovin it!

Talladega side (get off I-20 at Embry/Lincoln exit), stay on Stemley Road past Stemley Bridge intersection, pass the water tower (on left/Lincoln Harbor on right) and take right at Joe Gamble until it dead ends on Griffith Bend. Go right, it is about a mile past the Bryant Vineyards on the right...

Thanks, I tracked it down on a map this morning and will probably be coming from the dam and pick up the road where it comes out on Stemley.

No need to wait for new neighbors to party, The race is coming and before you know it we will be complaining about gas prices again, personally I cant wait.

Shelby County Spring Break starts the 15th and I will be there saturday and sunday for sure...........

Hi The Other Steve,

I'm new to the forum and interested in the get togethers. I'm usually at the lake every weekend, especially during the summer months. Keep me posted on the next gathering.

C-ya :)
