Are the marinas competitve right now on gas? Who's the cheapest for this holiday as of right now? I believe my neighbor said regular unleaded was 4.19 last weekend at the BC marina, not 100% however.

When we went by Veazy's Monday afternoon the tanks 4.10 and 4.20. They weren't open. We were trying to figure out if they were opening back up this year.

Veasey's was open weekend before last so they're surely open this year... I think they are usually closed on Mondays unless it is a Summer Holiday.

Thanks! We are directly across the lake from them and we went to the lake Monday to get the boat back from the repair shop and took it out to make sure everything worked fine. I'm glad to hear they are opening this summer, beats having to drive into Alex City for gas.
I think Veazy's closed shortly after 4th of July last year because of the water level.

Veazy's was open Sunday May 18th, however they were out of regular. Also I was a little let down, they have a sign that says pizza and BBQ, yet no Pizza or BBQ. Nice guy running the place though.

has been there for a while. I don't remember if they had pizza and bbq last year. I'm thinking they didn't. I remember the store being very "bare" on the inside. Just a few chips, hotdog/hamburger buns, etc. Not alot of everything like you would find at Parker Creek or other marinas. I wonder if it is the same family running it this year. If so, they are renting it from the store owners and running it. I hope it has a great business this year so it will be back each year. We'll be up at the lake tomorrow morning so we'll find out tomorrow if they have any gas. Of course, we don't have internet access where we are.

Enjoy yourself tomorrow, unfortunately I cant make it until Sunday. Must attend wedding on Saturday, who gets married on Memorial Day weekend anyway.
