Though I have no hard date, my perception was that boat traffic was down somewhat over the holiday weekend. We went to the rocks early on Sunday so did not see prime time traffic. Monday afternoon up our way near Stillwaters seemed to me to be a typical say Sunday afternoon on the lake, not a holiday afternoon.

We are really boating less with gas prices so high.

My perception was fewer boats on the lake and a lot fewer cars on the road. Conserving fuel is a good thing.

Prior to last year's drought, I always felt like Memorial Day weekend exceeded July 4th. The lake would be really busy from Friday to Monday. This year, the lake was dead on Friday, picked up to a "normal" summer Saturday-Sunday, then dropped off fast on Monday. The Rock wasn't very busy when we went by late Saturday morning. If that was the busiest weekend this year, then those of us willing to buy the gas should have a great time this year.

I think the Marine Police took care of the traffric at the rock since there where eight of them out there Saturday holiday weekend.

Probably someone playing with the button and I have not put an undo on the feature yet. They are just reviewed and reset if not determined to be a problem.
