I ran out of gas with the gauge reading 1/4 last Saturday. Some nice folks helps up out of trouble. Thank You!
Anyway the gauge works but the sender sticks. Seems like an easy job to replace if you are careful with gasoline fumes and sparks. How do I know what size float to purchase?

Why guess? Take the old sender out of the tank. The cheap ones are universal and you cut them to length, the better senders are made to length.
