Frustrated this weekend at lake as I could not get Ala/Ark game on TV. Game being shown in Atl and Bham. Blacked out at Lake. Could not even but it. Does anyone understand why the local channels I get have to come from NY and Cal. Would be nice to get a local feed?

We have DISH at the lake and we got the Bama game without any problem. Don't understand why Direct would have it blacked out.

I had the same problem with the first Bama game and called DirectTV because they charged me even though it was blacked out. I did finally get a credit but i had to talk with a supervisor to get it.

You must call DirectTV to order SEC games. You cannot order them with your remote. The charge is 29.95.

I get montgomery channels with DISH. I called DireTV first and said they are not approved for locals in the zip i gave them 35010 at the lake. But said they could give out of area locals for the national feeds. I said no and went with DISH

You can't get local channels, i.e. from Montgomery with Directv because DISH has the rights to them. When I had DISH they told me that Directv couldn't give you the locals...

BTW, you can order SEC games with Directv from the internet, if yo have an online account set up with them, you have to do it the day of the game..
