A psycic called me after seeing Millie's pictures. She said she saw Millie walking down a very long dirt road nearly 20 miles South of home. She said there were no houses around her. She said it started with an "S"...maybe a Sandy or Spring something. She said someone took Millie and after all the pictures, ads, etc. started appearing, they put her out. She said I would get Millie back but I wouldn't find her. She said a good samaritan would find her and bring her home to me....
I know this all sounds crazy....but I've followed every possible lead...even those they thought were a bloodhound or bassethound....
Does anyone know of any DIRT roads, without houses, names Sandy or Spring something???? 20 miles of here could be near I-85, could be around Tuskegee, could be way down between Redland or Rifle Range Roads and the toll bridge.
Rock Springs Rd. is all I can think of but I don't think it's dirt....
MILLIE HAS BEEN GONE 25-DAYS TODAY!!!

Let's hope that the psychic is right about Millie, but off about the 20 miles. The problem about dirt roads here is that they could be nothing more than a hunting trail off into the woods. I'm over in the Parker Creek area, but I look around for Millie every where I go. You have my promise that if I see any dog that looks remotely like a bloodhound, I will pull over and call to it. We lost our GSP up here for a week about 5 years ago and I have a good idea what you are going through. We finally found our dog at the Lake Martin Shelter.

i heard about this on th radio and just checked it out. It seems like a great idea for keeping track of dogs. Not so good in cases of dog being stolen, but I think those cases are rare. I hope you find Millie. Many times it takes weeks for lost dogs to make their way home.
I want to let you know that you have done a great job of getting info out on Millie. I had my dog at the Auburn Emergency Clinic last weekend. I was pacing the halls and saw a picture of a Bloodhound and I thought about Millie. I asked the girl at the counter if they had had a stray Bloodhound through there in the last couple of weeks. Almost immediately another girl came out of an office behind the counter and asked if I was talking about Millie. I responded yes. She said unfortunately they had not seen her, but were aware of her. This second girl said she worked at another clininc in Lochapaocha (sp) and there was a flyer up there about Millie. She is a lover of bloodhounds too, so she is keeping a sharp eye for Millie. Don't give up!!

What are your GPS coordinates? I'll draw it out on a map and email it to you. I was raised in the area. I know every road and trail between LM and outwards of 50 miles. I take a psychic's word with a ton of salt but I also know how badly the loss of a beloved pet hurts. I ride the roads on weekends. If I see something, I'll take some photos and get in touch.

I did a rough layout with a map .....Shorter (Victoryland) is about 20.5 mile south of Rocky Point (I believe that I saw another post putting you there). I am very familiar with the dirt roads there, I hunt them. Most go towards the river and are both wooded and fields. It might be worth a drive. (I'd start with the long dirt road that crosses the interstate at the dogtrack and meanders all through woods and fields to the river. A few homes back in the area and might have adopted a lost dog, especially if there was food.
Praying for Millie and you
James.

We are ALL watching for Millie. I have sent an e-mail to all those who I know that do not read the forum and told them of millie. If we see a bloodhound, then we will call. Period!

I am not sure if this helps, maybe just a coincidence. I live on Sandy Springs Drive, in Wetumpka. I am not familiar with our home proximities or mileage between. However, there is a road about up 14 East from me called Jug Factory. It is a dirt road. Is it possible that this location would be in the 20 mile range that Millie could be located? I will continue to keep an eye out for her and keep saying my prayers to Saint Francis.

Just wanted to tell you that the Birmingham News paper had an article about lost and found tools for pets. You can post your pets picture here as well as view found pets. www.gbhs.org

I don't know how the shelter thing works, but I was in Wasl-Mart in Prattville right before Thanksgiving and in the pet section, the Prattville Animal Shelter had posted several pictures of animals for adoption. A picture of a bloodhound caught my eye. Not sure if it Millie, but the dog looks to be an older dog in the picture. The info on the dog listed the dog to have been dropped off by it's family who could no longer care for it. I just thought this was a bit odd. I've looked at Millies pictures several times and/but the picture from the Shelter is not a very good one. I don't know if you have contacted the shelter in Prattville, but it might be worth a call...just in case. I wasn't sure if when you contact a shelter about a missing pet, they keep in touch with you or if it's the owners job to follow up every so often. Anyway, good luck in finding Millie,....and I will continue to keep a watchful eye open!
