I am interested in getting a fishing guide for my dad and a few other guys late April early May for Lake Martin. We have a house on the Real Island side of Lake Martin. I need someone who could show him some good spots to fish for large mouthed bass on our side of the lake. Please contact me with anyone you know of that does guided tours for large mouthed bass, along with details/pricing - Thanks, Joy

I don't know about guides, but I fish around there, and if you want Largemouths, head for the backs of the creeks and look for brush. There are many piers with brushpiles underneath or nearby, and I have pulled some good bigmouths out of them. Sometimes they may be hard to spot, but once you do find them, they can produce big time. Also, some of my best Lake Martin bass have come out of the very backs of the major feeder creeks. These areas are for the most part bare, but big bass still cruise around there on the flats or around the creek channels and will hold in what cover is available. Just be careful if you go back in one of those creeks.

Jim Paramour with Trophy Striper is great. We used him last year and are going back out in early April. He knows where to go and uses a different bait fish than the others. We caught our limit and had a great day. Highly recommended. I don't have his number but you can search his name on Lake Martin and find him.

Hope it is a native bait fish.
