Im looking at opening a paintball field in the lake area and I want peoples thoughts on it. There will be an indoor and outdoor fields. Gun rentals and gear rentals. Family owned. I need to know if people would come. Thanks!

does not seem to be something lake residents or those with second homes would be interested in. When my son was young, him and his friends used to love doing that. But it seems to have faded. At least the two places i knew of near Atlanta both closed.

I don't want to be negative, but I tend to agree. My kids are grown and gone. Years ago they'd have loved it.

The new version of "wear jeans and a jacket and only pump the BB gun twice"... We are part timers at the lake, and have to agree - if down there, we will not do the paintball gig. I wish you luck if you do proceed, there is one near us in McCalla that our neighbor enjoys.

May I suggest if you do try it that you set outdoor only and see how it goes during the summer. If it is a success you can see if they are local and will use the indoor. I would assume the cost for outdoors is considerably less than an indoor site. Best of luck.

Maybe the Obama supporters can take on the DITTO heads on the Right and show them we can fight with latex.

Make it political eh?
Fight with latex ... did you mean "fight with latex on"? Although I am sure paintball would be fun, many of those "on the right" have other games to play - like Metallic Silhouette, IPSC and IDPA - copper jackets, not latex. Apparel is generally jeans or BDUs in black or camo, not rainbow colored.

I just don't think we would do it often enough to support it. Now a good burger place on the north end of the lake would be a hit! Even if it's just to go stuff. Need somewhere to go by boat to get a good burger! The Bay Pine Marina is still available. Frankies was easy access but I would go there if they had a good burger. The food has to be good enough to keep you coming back. Frozen chicken fingers just didn't do it.
