OK, so I'm hanging at the crib (that's house in Tallapoosa County)and my wife (That's old lady in Trussville) comes home from the store where we get dog food. She bought Yoohoo, our chocolate lab, a homemade cokie. It's shaped like a pie and is about 6 inches around. Well, I love my dog so I thought that was great till I looked closer. It was a $10.00 cookie! 10 peices about 1" at the top. I don't know if I've ever tasted a cookie, or pie for that matter, that costs $10 so I tasted it. Now is when I can say something about what dogs usually eat or lick but you'll have to use your imagination. The cookie wasn't all that good.

How funny. Once, long ago, I brought home some Godiva dog biscuits from a business trip. Left them on kitchen counter to dole out to dog as time went by. Came around to give out first treat, no biscuits to be found. Searched and searched. Finally asked the family. Oldest son saw the Godiva wrapping, figured they were for the humans and ate them all. Sigh...

I used to buy my dogs Bark Bars which are a chocolate type bar for dogs. And we once made a cookie for the dogs at a Valentine's Day party for dogs at Petsmart, but I was never tempted to taste it. Although their Natural Balance dog food doesn't smell too bad.

Interesting reading.. Just occured to me that a couple hundred pounds of dog food might be a good investment, given the direction of the economy.. Hmmm.. catfish, crappie and Alpo... Might have to get a case of tomato sauce..

Did he begin barking and licking unmentionable places?

my wife asked the guy if they were for dogs or people. he said they were for dogs but pretty safe for people....one guy went to the hospital after eating one. Amy didn't say anything but looked concerned and the guy said..wait for it....some guy ate a bunch of the cookies and his wife backed over him while he was in the driveway licking his b%ll$.

I would suggest some stewed tomatoes also - try Rotel, and a bit of basil. Our last dog would eat sliced jalapenos with me, so that may be something you can share with your trooper as well on special occasions.
