Has anybody heard that the company handling the marketing for The Village is also going to handle that dump of Karis Park? I would have thought they would have run the other way because of the bad (awful) construction and major problems with that subdivision!!! We need to take pride in our lake and that place needs to be burned to the ground and started over!!! Can you say law suits! Should be interesting....stay tuned.....

Where in the world is Karis Park?

I have been told that the folks at the Village have no connection with Karis Park. They approached them long ago about buying it out at an obviously discounted rate, but the Karis Park folks wouldn't go for it.

Actually, what I was told was that the folks at the Village approached Karis Park's bankers, but no deal was reached.

Trolled by on boat. Thought they tore these down last year, or read that they were preparing to. Now the signs say Big Opening. The place is still unfinished. Can't imagine why they are still there. What real estate person or company would want to associate their name with that tarnished piece of land. The sign said 2 companies. Remax at 770 area code and another corporation. They left no trees, no landscaping and very, very ugly homes. Unfortunate that this development is attempting to use a unknown person in attempt to sell this garbage. Guess our realty agents would not stoop so low so they had to get outsiders. Drive by and see for yourself.

It is the same company that sells at the Village. It's also Re-max in GA. Guess this is the village now. It's the same realty company. You have to see this place to understand. It is probabaly one of the ugliest unfinished developments on the lake.

The broker for The Village is Kay Ray of The Real Estate Group in Birmingham. Karis Park is nothing like the plans I saw several years ago. Too bad, it really was a good layout.

Trust me, Karis park is NOT The Village. There is no comparison. I live in the Village and it is a great community. Karis Park is a total eye sore. The Village developers have made several attempts with the banks behind the Karis Park debacle and made no progress.

We are hoping for well placed lightening strikes.

Upon arrival at this Grand Opening Event, we felt as though we walked into a process that was forgotten to be completed or an abandoment. We noted the builder did not have his name anywhere, geez, can't blame him for that. The unfortunate realtor who choose to have their moment of fame, missed their curtain call. Shows over. Actually, think the theater should be condemmed and everyone should go home. Unfortunate for the adjacent homes that have to look at this mishmosh.
