It's been a fun summer with plenty of water. We may get a refill from the tropics. I hope it doesn't go so low this winter since we like to boat all year long.

I think we can thank Aquapalooza more than the rain for keeping it higher this year. Did not take long to make up for lost time once the show was over. Has been nice though.

I completely agree but since the aqua party the lake hasn't had much rain. There is rain in the basin now.

I agree with you about the rain but by the same token, Aquapalooza was on July 25. Martin was at 489.0 on 7-25 and is at 488.3 on 8-17. Lake Wedowee above Martin was at 791.6 on 7-25 and is at 791.9 on 8-17, a gain of .3 with the same rainfall. This has become the norm for the last several years and is the reason I give Aquapalooza credit for the water level staying as high as it did.

Maybe we can suggest the aquapalooza be held on Labor Day next year. It's been fun guys. Now with fall and Winter comming it's time to get the striper poles out.

APCO has been running 3-4 turbines about 5 hrs per day for the last week and with no rain -- well you get it.

I just don't understand why they can't wait until late Sept./early Oct. to drop it. What's the rush!?

Seems in the past they wouldn't start dropping the lake level till after Labor Day.

It has not been that long ago that they started pulling it down right after the 4th of July. It was usually down by 4' by Labor Day. Count your blessings.

Well it shouldn't be -- why can't they follow their own guidelines?! Compare Martin to Harris and you'll see what I mean.
