How the heck do you report scammers on the classified page to get an add deleted?
Look at this add under Personal Watercraft. I have emailed with this jerk and it is the classical scam!! I wish I could meet them face to face!!!!

I saw that one and almost emailed him the day it showed up to ask what the correct price was, but did not since I was "sure" the correct price would be much much higher for that model. What exactly is his scam?

It's the same old Craigslist scam I hoped would not end up here. Ski is up north and he is on his way to the desert. He wants you to send money to Google checkout and says they will hold the money until I receive the ski and inspect it. After I approve that I want the ski Google checkout will release the money to him. Well Google checkout does not HOLD money. So once you send it, it is GONE!! Those kind of people suck!!
I figured it was a scam but hope it was just a typo on the price. So, if it sounds to good to be true, it is.

Thanks for posting about the problem. I removed the ad, but not before sending an inquiry to the poster myself. We will watch that account as well as others. With that said, we can only do something about accounts we know are a problem, basically by someone telling us about them. We have the ability to investigate abuse if it is through our contact forms, but in this case replies would have happened outside of our system.

The poster sent me his standard verbiage of being on the verge of being sent to Afghanistan. I replied and asked for his phone number to discuss the transaction. Then he replied that he was in Great Falls, MT "working on a special training program and [he was] not allowed to get out of the unit or make calls whenever [he] wants". Malmstrom AFB is indeed in Great Falls, but I don't believe the story one bit about not being able to make calls. Scammers are everywhere. Be vigilant!
