Just asking....Are the pines on Chimney Rock and surrounding islands dying from pine bettle or what ??? Went by there today and saw many browning out...
Second thing...does anybody know where the eagles are nesting on the south end of the lake?? Have seen them flying recently and love watching them fly.
Thanks

Chimney Rock, a fire a few years ago caused what you saw. Don't know about the eagles. They are pretty to watch. They fly through where we live every now and then.

Eagles, we havent seen them flying in the area but did notice large nest on powerlines where the Dixie sailing Club use to be anchored.
Keeping an eye open hoping to see them this fall.

Thks for info about pines. Thought it might be the pine beetle. As for the Eagles, I saw one adult last week and another in the area around the dam this past Monday AM. The first sighting he was fishing. Dove behind my boat for fish. great to watch.
