Call me crazy....but I could actually SMELL fall almost 3 weeks ago....and then this nice Fall type weather moved in for a spell.

"Insert Twighlight Zone theme song.....: )

So do you think it's here to stay?

Do you think this will mean a cold and nasty Winter with some possible snow or ice storms?

Anyone remember that semi-blizzard we had here back in the early 90's?
I actually liked having that one! About 7-9 inches of snow real fast, and then clear skies with a full moon! We went up to the Scenic Overlook and between the iced over sidewalk and the hurricane like winds, I almost got blown away! It was so cold with the wind chill....about 30 seconds outside was all I could stand. BRRRRRR!!

Just curious.

Stratman......: D

Wish it were here to stay but, you can count on 95 degrees and 90%humidity once college football rolls around.

Think that was 1993...know it was March 15-16
we had a good cover of snow...that was the best snow in several years

had some good ones back in the late 70's and early 80's...then it took a break...course that was after the APCO trimmed all the trees back so they wouldnt fall on the power lines

There was a good snow in 1992, 7-8 inches in Birmingham. The the BIG one was in March 1993 (started on Friday the 13th, to be exact. Hmmm....) That one dumped 18 inches on me at work... which is where I steyed for several days.

I'm not sure how much snow the lake got during these two storms, though I know that the 1993 storm dumped at least several inches in the area.

The storm of March, '93 left 6 inches in my yard.

Sorry but you are a little off here on the dates of the '93 blizzard BAJ . It started on Friday, but it was the 12th, not the 13th. It was mid-afternoon when the first snow started to fall, I remember it all to well as we were at the cemetary burying my father. Not a day one forgets the details of.

If you go do your homework you'll see plenty of instances where someone said BAJ was wrong. Sometimes they're just differences of opinion, however (he can't help it if he's an Auburn fan, or an environmental wacko). Other times he has actually been factually wrong, and admits it, see his response in this thread for an example.

I guess your real problem is that people seem to like him and not like you; maybe if you tried being a nice helpful person instead of a spiteful, grumpy, jealous, ignorant old woman, people might like you too. Oh, and if I made as many spelling, grammar, and factual errors as you do when I post, I wouldn't be making fun of anybody.

Yep, I'm a whacko. I prefer clean water to polluted water, clean air to smog, live animals to dead, trees and grass to buildings and parking lots, stars in teh sky instead of streetlights. What can I say, I'm just crazy that way.

Other than that, thanks for your support! And if you ever find out what I did to Jim all those years ago, please let me know; he won't tell me, but it must have been something terrible.
