I believe I would stand on the side of VMG and the strong rational points that have been made to date. The reference VMG made to the classic song/video filmed in Tennessee, Craig Morgan's "Red Neck Yacht Club" is choice! It demonstrates VMG has a true grasp of the issues raised ranging from loss of revenue to Alabama, loss of jobs, fun and the freedom for all boaters to enjoy Lake Martin. Everyone wins.
I doubt a song/video filmed on Lake Martin, perhaps called the "Blue-Blood Yacht Club" would be as big of a hit. The video would have to be filmed under the restraint of the Bill, using a two tiny boats tied up to a water buoy. In the background, massive houses owned by suspected "Longtimers", the "Senator's ilk" and some of Alabama Power's "finest." I do not think it would bring the REVENUE that Tennessee realized while filming "Redneck Yacht Club" on Lake Percy Priest. Thank VMG!
