Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but the Hershey Man will know!

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH
This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 ....
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

Just meant to be a little fun Gentlemen. If you want to get serious about things, then open up those fat wallets and big bank accounts. GeorgiaPeach is setting there with this Million Dollar piece of property awaiting your offer. I bet you can score it for around $850.000.00 Now how is that for Chocolate Math? Better hurry or someone from New York City will buy it in a "Flash".

Figure this one for me....

3 men went to a store and bought $30 worth of goods. They split the purchase 3 ways...each paying $10...right?

The clerk realized that she overcharged them by $5. She asked the bagger to run after them to give them their change. Before catching up with them, but seeing there were 3 men, he kept 2 dollars for himself and then gave them the $3, which they divided among them for $1 each.

This means, then, that each man didn't pay $10, but only $9 each for their purchases. $10 - $1 = $9.

But $9 x's 3 = $27. Bagger kept $2 ($2 + $27 = $29.) WHY????????

This is old as dirt, it`s all according to the sequence as to subtraction. There is no missing dollar. 30-5=25-3=22-2=0. simple.

I don't know about jim's math, but the answer lies in the fact that the base price is not 30 anymore, but is now 25 after the return of the 5. They each paid 8.3333, not 10.

...whatever High School you dropped out of and ask one of the math teachers to explain it to you. It was one of my math prof's that explained it to me over 20 years ago, only it was traveling salesmen and a hotel room.

22-2=0???

I agree, the operative word here is "simple." But it's not the math that's simple!
