Awesome food. Excellent school system. Good people. No longer meets the "Loveliest village on the plains" though because it's growing big time in all directions. I lived there for over ten years and am still shocked that every time I go back how much change has taken place. I miss it.

EXCELLENT schools, great shopping for town of its size, lots of entertainment choices including a water park, many great eateries, active night life, 40 minutes to lake, and last but not least SOARING property values.

BTH.... where is the BBQ place you mentioned........I usually have to get my fix at Wallace BBQ in Austell before I leave the metro area???

If you want it around the lake, try Old South Bar-B-Q in Eclectic. Excellent ribs too and good prices. Merry Christmas

I agree with you that Wallace's is the best BBQ that I have ever had.

JohnGalt..........glad to hear a fellow traveler knows about Wallace's......I really don't know how long they have been selling BBQ, but I remember when they were in a small house just down the street from where they are now, which has been more than 20 years. It's amazing that everything seems the same quality as when I first went there. I'm just talking myself into going by there when we head back to LM in early January!!!!
