Just came across this website, thought it might come in helpful to folks in the future. Have set my alert at 475 so I can call APCo to apply for my new dock permit.

Here is an overview of the site, per their website: AND ITS FREE !!!

Necessity is the mother of invention." Victor Hugo, 1852.
And so, born out of the necessity to NEVER have another grounded dock or boat and to NEVER have to raise another submerged dock ramp from the watery depths of what once was dry land comes. . .

LakeLevelAlert.com (LLA) - Lake level monitoring service that alerts you via email when water levels for your lake become too high or too low. LakeLevelAlert.com is a FREE service for anyone to use.

How does it work?
After registering with LakeLevelAlert.com, you will be able to create one or multiple low water and high water level alerts for your lake.

When LLA detects that the water level for your lake has either risen or fallen to the level you set for one of your alerts, LLA sends you a lake alert email that notifies you of the current lake level conditions and instructs you on what action to take.

The aliens are behind the low water levels. They wanted less traffic so as not to interfere with their experiments. They worked out a deal with the Mayor of Dadeville. He will not report them or pursue them if they lower the lake. That way when he dumps raw sewage in the lake it will be an even bigger environmental issue. With less water for dilution the lake will pollute even faster, and the pollution will last longer becuse of less current. The Mayor felt like this was a win/win situation. The aliens get their base and he gets to pollute the lake even more. Who could turn down such an offer??
