Any of you have a recommendation for a Onan generator repair person. I may have a problem with a circuit board in my motor home. Thanks

If it's not still under warranty, call the guys at clearwater marine (check home page for #). They fixed my RV onan generator. Seems they are like brain surgeons when it comes to anything mechanical. They have fixed my boat, lawn mower, and pro-hauler so far. Nice, honest and fairly priced.

Wow, I wonder if Cat can do all that. I understand that the answer to some questions around Cathouse Performance Marine is:

"Well, it ain't brain surgery"

Funny, that's what the guys at Clearwater said when I made the comment that they were like brain surgeons! Anyhow, I am sure that CATBOAT is every bit as competent as the Clearwater guys, I've just never had the pleasure of utilizing his services because I live on the lake nearby Chucks. I hear he is a great guy though. I'm not a brain surgeon or a mechanic so both are foreign to me.

If it were the engine running the generator we could more than likely make the repairs. But the question was broad enough to keep me away from posting. I am no where close to a generator surgeon. If it's the electrical part (actual power generation side) I would not have a clue! I had the opportunity to meet the "Clearwater" clan the other day. Seemed like some good folks.

Don't forget - you will also need Mr. Big Hammer, Mr. Big Pliers, Mr. Big Screwdriver, a Swiss army knife, WD-40 and a case of beer - with this - all is possible.

Found a source for circuit board repair. Just send it in and it will be repaired or replaced. Great on the phone as well. I spoke with Clearwater on this. They are great folks and have sent a lot of business my way. He recommended to send it in. Flightcom is the name of the place. All they do is this kind of stuff and the most it will cost is $120. If I can get it out after a cube of Nattys and a big hammer I should be ok.
