I hope all our friends and family in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa are safe....It's going to be a long night for everyone still in harms way.

I am in Huntsville, but family in Bham. We dodged the bullet in Bham. Just east of Huntsville in Athens, AL they has several tornadoes today with casualties. Typing in the dark on laptop as ALL power is out in North Alabama, a TVA main power line was taken out and heard it could be days before they have power restored. If so I am heading to the lake on Thursday.

Just received a text from Tallapoosa County Emergency Weather that there is a tornado warning for Tallapoosa till 9:15 and a watch till 1:30 AM.

Be safe everbody !!!!!

a friend near Eclectic (BRF) said a suspected tornado passed very close to his home and trees are down. He reports a house completely gone at hwy 80 and West Cotton and power is out.

A neighbors said he didn't see any damage in our hood (south east of Real Island) but power is out.
