We have a house in the Smith Mountain area and noticed this weekend that there are live little clear creatures swimming in the water that resemble a tiny jellyfish. We did not touch them but they swam in schools. Anyone know what they are?

Is that the stuff that gets on your bumpers if they hang into the water?

I don't think so. The ones i've seen are free swimming just like the beach, only silver dollar size.

I'm not sure, but someone emailed and said they actually are freshwater jellyfish. Probably won't sting humans.
