The recently formed Lake Martin Homeowners & Boat Owners group will hold their second general-membership formational meeting on June 23. The meeting begins at 4:00 PM at the Elk's Lodge. The entrance road to that facility is located just north of the Hwy 280 bridge.

Although the June 23 meeting is only the second general meeting the HOBO's have already made tremendous progress. Their new website, www.lakemartin.org, is fully functional and has a downloadable membership application form.

Also, there has been some discussions among some of the members and others regarding going to Carlos Mexican restaurant in Alex City after the meeting, if anyone is interested.

Yes it is, here is a Google Map URL, just go to Elks Parkway and follow all the way to the end, the Elks Lodge is right on the lake.

Or just do a search on Google for Elks Lodge - Alexander City. Map does not show exact location of building byt if you just continue on the Elks Parkway you will run right in to the building at the end of the road.

I doubt they will have water to tie up, just in case anyone was thinking of coming via boat.
