There was a good site to check rainfall for the past 24 hours. I don't seem to be able to locate the url now. Does anyone know how to look this information up?

this looks to be a temporary site that the Alabama-USGS office put in to get a better handle on this critical D4-5 drought.

sorry..didn't know how to make my url a link on this forum. FYI..these raingages are tipping bucket types that have a mercury switch that triggers a counter which is stored in a data collection platform and transmitted via sat to a ground station and shot back to Alabama's Tuscaloosa office. As long as they are kept level (they have a leveling bubble on their base) and the funnel is kept clear of debris..there isn't a better rainage. The volumetric garden brand types can under report (if there is wind driven rain or not a good canopy) or overreport because of splashing or not being level.

Man, It must be a good sign there is a lot of rain in the area. I do not know otherwise how you would find all the time to post on the Forum.

Don't get me wrong since I am enjoying your post, but when I am down on the Lake I rarely touch the computer until late in the evening.

You must be one of those mutti-tasking types of some sort. LOL

streamgager stay at the lake for like the next month or so. You can use febs house - LOL.

As Feb comes down to lake and it stops even thinking about raining.

You come to the lake and has rained everyday, you have to stay at least another 2 weeks or so. LOL

Oh so true Mav.

The siding may not start with the rain, but hopefully the much needed precipitation will help point out the proper lot drainage.

You can stay at Maverick's Lake House since he has furniture, air conditioning and a fridge full of refreshments.
