Hello! My husband is getting ready to build a deck on our lake place. Does anyone know of someone with experience and who is reliable to help ASSIST my husband with building the deck? We are looking to cut down on some of the costs by doing it ourselves, but would like some help, as the lot is very steep and the deck will be an elevated deck. We are looking for someone to assist my husband who has experience and is professional and reliable. We will pay and would like to have the deck done in about 3 days.
If you know if anyone who has the time to do the deck this weekend, June 6th and who has experience and is RELIABLE, please contact me.

I just used a guy this week who said he has built docks and decks for a living in Lousiana and they were going to be doing some work on lake Martin. His name is Lenny Iennusa and he is with J.D.'s Work Services. 205-229-9915 or 205-260 2725. He also does excavator, bobcat, grading, ditching, footings, welding fabrication, decks, docks, peirs, fencing and demolition work. I guess you could add plumbing to the list. I thought I had a septic tank problem on a rental property and he found a busted water main and fixed that as well. I was pleased with the workmanship.

You get what you pay for. People who are good, reliable, proffesional, and have the tools to build a deck, own there own business and don't want to work for some spare change. I am a general contractor in Atlanta and am constantly getting people looking for something for nothing. They hire someone for half of what we charge and then are complaning later that the person did a crappy job and stiffed them. I am not writing this to be a wise guy, I am telling you to be careful with who you hire because an elevated deck on a steep slope is not something you should play with. If the guy you hire does not have workers comp and gets hurt you might be helping him replace something in his (your) house.
