Just took a ride down the lake from North of the Riverbridge. My newphew and a friend came in from Atlanta and wanted to jump off Chimmney Rock and afterwards we went around Goat Island. Saw them near the feeding area. Good to see them again. Heard the were all gone but, someone must have taken some back over there.

See ya

I went by last weekend and saw none so it must have been this week they put them back on.

If in fact the goats are back, some one needs to find a way to put a donkey on the island...

Not for the kids to pet and feed but they (KILL DOGS!) I am not making a plug but I do know of a donkey that may end up "no more" if no one takes him. The problem is winter feeding. :(

There is an article about it in this month's "Lake Magazine".

Here is a link:

...I know someone else is thinking it.
But why on Earth would someone go and put the goats back on the island?

Per the article the goats will be removed from the island and housed at a home for the Winter.

Goats have always mysteriously died in the winter months.

From previous posts, it had not been lack of food, but rather lack of kevlar that caused their demise.
