Nice job Cat, tell Dee Dee she did a great job editing it - LOL.

For those which have not read Cat's article on the homepage regarding prop selection, it is a good read and very educational.

See the URL below.

Thanks MAV. I was talking to Bruce and he thought some sort of Monthly article that contained some basic boating information would be good for visitors of his Lakes online websites. It was fun and enjoyable to offer my opinion and real world results. These articles (if you wanna call them that) are only my opinion. We so much appreciate the support this site, and its members give us. I have also read and retained good information from LM's various forums. Just remember, if you or someone disagrees with the content of these articles, they are my personal opinions as best I can give. I think this will be fun. I appreciate the confidence this forum has in us.

As I was reading it i kept thinking WOW, CAT has a really good editer...lol.

Just kidding of course. It is a great article. Very imformative. I think your next article should be on proper site selection and installation of HO's Hang Outs. Now that is some useful information...lol.

I can see where this can get out of hand realy quick. Next article will be on bumpers, then docks, etc. Web site will get shut down, then we will all be SOL!

It was a very good article - informative, yet easy to understand - even by us idiots.... Although we have met, I have been fortunate enough to not need your (boat repair/maintenance) services yet. When my luck changes, "Summer Love" will be headed to Prattville. Keep up the good work, and I hope Bruce will continue to feature Letters From The CAT.

Funny. I was thinking the same thing. I'll do my best to keep it clean. Otherwise, We'll have to move it to "Off Topics". Swimmer, we need to get together on your boat.

Good Job Cat, reminds me of the first time I took my boat to the Cathouse, Steve and Mike did the regular maintenance on the motor, after that, Steve got to looking at my outboard and told me about the 2x4 theory (my motor was setting on the transom to low causing unnessasary drag) I didn't really believe him as my boat was new and surely they rigged it right. Well he raised the motor up on the transom several inches and he was right....got 5mph on the top end, didn't have to trim it as much and it handles great out of the hole and cornering. Needless to say I'm a customer for life!!

(sorry for the long post)
