I live on Lay but I want to explore Mitchell this summer (just 1 day). I 'm coming through Coosa Co. by Lay Dam, where is a good place to put in close to the dam?

Barrets Fish camp off State 22 is a good place Launch fee is $2.

that is a long way from the dam
There is a public launch on the east side at the base of the bridge, it used to be the old ferry landing
the best place to launch is the public launch off exit 208
|
The launch off the base of the bridge is not Mitchel Lake. Otherwise he will need to go into Chilton County.
