I know not everyone looks over in boat maintenance so I decided to post this over here becasue I am pretty pumped about the progress made this weekend. This is the SeaRay 270 we got from Marty Over at Childrens harbor. It's going back together pretty quick now. There was a lot of rot and damage from leaking windows that was unseen but suspected. Also some other minor mechanical issues but We've about got it whipped.

Here's a video tour this evening of what was done over this past weekend and some of today. Yea I played hokey from some of my customers boats. But hey who's going to yell at me,,,, ME?

Hope you checked the underfloor stringers in the hull. If windows leaked, that rain water usually runs down to the forward bilge and rots the stringers sometimes. Sea Ray didn't do the best job of glassing the wood stringers.

Yes. all the stringers on the left side had to be replaced. And most of the floor.

My understanding is that the MP will go by what the manufacturer lists as maximum speed, sooooooo max speed for the 270 is what? Let CAT hook you up with a pair of motors that will stand that boat up quicker than Tiger at a meeting of ... I mean some motors that will let that boat go fast....
