The Constitution, Article.I, Section. 4. :

“The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.”

So, it is up to the individual states to set the rules for elections in each state. If I read that correctly, it does not specifically mention election of the President and Vice-President. But then, they are elected at the same time as senators and representatives… and various other state and local office holders.

The state election systems and procedures are inconsistent and politically ephemeral.

The Constitution does say that Congress “… may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations…”

I have not been holding my breath. My congressmen and representatives say exactly what they think I want to hear… and then do nothing.

The lower courts are all over the place according to their political bent. Voter fraud cases never seem to get to the U.S. Supreme Court  with language and/or standing that the SCOTUS accepts the case. Are you surprised?

In the words of Tucker Carlson, “No one can tell you how something smells.” Every single one of us knows… in our heart… whether an act or actions are wrong… legally, ethically, or morally.

But, good men still do nothing.  Reveal.  Expound.   Do nothing.

I am not aware that SCOTUS ruled such (need a citation). However, the SCOTUS will not get involved unless a) The appellant has standing, and b) the ruling of the lower court may be unconstitutional. The SCOTUS does not have to take on an appeal or petition – it can let the lower court’s ruling stand.

Whether the Justices agree with the politics, policies, or rulings, the current SCOTUS will not likely take on a case unless it has the probability of being unconstitutional.

For example:

Lawyers for Civil Rights, a nonprofit organization based in Boston, filed its civil rights complaint to the Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) alleging that the Harvard University’s legacy admissions system does not weigh merit and takes acceptance spots away from students of color.

The Supreme Court will not likely take this case if it comes to them - unless the case comes before a lower court and that court oversteps its authority and makes an improper judgement (i.e. unconstitutional). Substitute “Howard University” for “Harvard University” and you get my drift. University legacy programs are not racially focused and because of alumni gifts and endowments, can be found to be a net benefit to minority, poor, and disadvantaged sub-populations within the student body.

Does that have anything to do with Alabama correcting gerrymandering issues by 24 JUL ?

Well yes and no. 

"The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled for Black voters in Alabama challenging the state’s GOP-friendly congressional map, an important voting rights decision that could have major implications in the 2024 elections and beyond.

"In a 5-4 decision authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, the high court affrimed a lower court decision that concluded the state's existing map drawn based on the 2020 census likely violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which prohibits voting practices or procedures that discriminate on the basis of race. As a result, the map remains blocked from being used as litigation continues.

"Following the 2020 census, Alabama created a new redistricting map for its seven seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. Alabama currently has just one Black-majority district out of seven seats, in a statewide population that is about one-quarter Black."
