I live close to Chuck's, and when I got home tonight I smelled something as soon as I got out of my car. I Walked down to the lake and saw bubble suds everywhere. The smell is a cross b/w sulfur and sewage. Anybody know what it is??

Please do as Lakeman sugested. I suspect there are a lot of inadequate old septc systems around the Lake. All the recent rain may of been too much for some systems.

In your community, are most of the Lake houses newer or older places?

I hope it is not your neighbors septic systems or even something worse causing the problem. It could get pretty nasty in your neighborhood and expensive for homeowner's to repair.

Let us know what you find out.

I see it (and smell it) on a fairly regular basis. I called the Health Dept. once about it during the dead of winter. They told me it was pollen!!...I did say dead of winter....pollen!

What kind of "grease" could Chuck's discharge? They are extremely vigiliant about ANYTHING going into the lake.
