Hows is the U.S. going to recover from last year's Hurricanes and restore New Orlreans when a large percentage of the world is at war? What is going to happen this year? We are on the verge of WWIII if someone breaks out with biological or chemical weapons. We will not even mention WWWIII Nuclear.. Biological war concerns me with the smaller nations fighting and not nuclear. The death,suffering, and destruciton is going to be beyond belief. What will they eat and survive from? I am an old sheep dog (well maybe). I just can't find the wolves.
What is going to stretch us to help Americans this year during the Hurricane season if an interanatonal war breaks out.? It sure will not be Insurance Companies and their lawyers.
Folk's Prayer is a powerful misile,but it may not save larger portions of the world that are praying and trying to kill one another with weapons of mass destrucion and their prayer of redemption. We jus don't comprehend it all... Is their God more powerful than our God? They thnk so strongly enough to sacrifice their very lives.
God knows , our minor fear in the US. is stem cell research. to the mass murder of man kind against each other agaist the 10 Commandmends. It seems so simple and innocent if it can help a single life. OK, to kill in the name of God, but don't heal anyone with innocenty use of stem cell research. OK that minor rant is done. Healing should be considered in the name of the God I beileve in.
I, and I think everyone one should look for a way to make the best of life and not fight the opposition.
I for one am scared to death of what this World is becoming.
This is not a rant on stem cell research. This is a rant on mankind desrtroying one another in the name Of GOD. Either he or she is there to guide us or he or she is someone we want to guide us when we are scared..
I now needs some guidance, and it can only be from God or my higher Power that will lead us from this madness. Maybe, I just don't undersand. I have known some who lost there lives thinking so in their last breath. I was happy for that moment of soliturde on their parf.
I am older now and not sure I can see it in the same terms.
We have a Mells of a Hess going on in the MIddle East.

When has the Middle East, or any other part of the world ever been at peace? I think the cold way made us all Sheeps. Truth is that eventually hundreds of thousands will perish in the hands of a few. Eventually someone will get ahold of and use a Nuke. There is nothing we can do to stop it. It won't be the end of the world, just the end of the world as we now know it. Just as life after 9-11-01 is different. Someone alive just 70 years ago would say that life today is relative to "the end of the world" as they knew it.
Civilization will adapt. The problem we as humans face is that each person is capable of pondering our own demise. We also are affected greatly by someone elses demise, IF we can relate to them in some fasion. If we cannot relate, we usually easily accept it.
Death is just as much a part of life as life itself. I say embrace it. I want a party at my funeral. I wish that everyone has an understanding that I loved every part of my life, good and bad. I have endured and overcome sacrifices which have fashioned me into the person I am today. My children will also have to do the same. Their lives in 40 years from now will not resemble ours. I just hope they find the wisdom to enjoy whatever opportunities are presented. Life is short, play hard!

Feb - I am reading 1776 by David McCollough.
I found this excerpt interesting. On page 110, George Washington had the same philosophy of the English poet, Alexander Pope, "whatever is, is right."

Yes Mam, That might of been true over three hundred years ago. They used muskets back then. Same effect since I guess it killed but generally only those at the end of the barre and only one at a timel.
Mr. Washington might revise his statement in these times of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons in the hands of those who don't care who they kill.
They will kill in the name of God only to give themselves power in the minds of ignorant people.
I am sometimes blind with biases. Do you agree or disagree? Not referring to my eyesight; althought that should be given serious considertaion.

How can it be true? I think God cries, too, at situations left to free-will.
But I do believe that if ONE thinks it is true, then it is true (to them.) But in the whole scheme of things, it can't be the absolute truth. It's only in the mind of the beholder. So, how does one change one's mind?
That's a hard one.

Enough is entirely enough! This topic does not merit any more discussion by civilized nations! My dear ole Pappy once said "Doesn't make any sense arguing with an angry man and his shotgun."
