If Alabama Power agrees to leave the lake full during these months,
I would be shocked. They haven't lost their mind.
Let's see--Full pool. Hurricane comes in and dumps 10 inches of
water and the water goes where? There would be a lot of damage south
of the dam.

Spot, help me out.  Hurricane season in the Atlantic begins June 1.  Current rule curve says we maintain full pool until Sep 1.  Are you advocating we lower the lake level during the summer?  Also, the land most likely to be flooded (regardless of the time of year) is in the floodplain.  Can you explain why it is so named?

67, all I can say is that I'm at a loss for words.

I can't fight with this many. Can't type fast enough, nor explain myself properly without someone
taking it out of context. Football starts in a little less than 2 weeks. Have a good one.

Also, weather forecasting allows for days in advance lead time to lower lake levels in anticipation of a heavy rain.  I think the biggest threat to downstream owners are summers like now when the lake is full and all the water that comes in must go out.  I haven't heard of any flooding downstream this year.  Anyone???
