Something to drive the leftists crazy. O'Reilly's numbers are almost as high as all the PMSnbc and CNN numbers combined. Fair and balanced seems to beat Obama sycophants like a drum. Of course they still have cBS, nBS, aBS, Wash Post, NY Times, etc. No wonder the left hates Fox. They hate success.

MM ... as you know, I don't consider myself a leftist, so maybe that is why your post doesn't drive me crazy.
I would never in a million years argue against the numbers you have posted. It is very clear that those on the right support media that "speaks to them" much moreso than the left or the center.
Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck .. and more specifically Roger Ailes ... are very good at what they do.
While I put Hannity, O'Reilly and Beck in the same category as Olbermann and Maddow ... I actually like a lot of what Fox News JOURNALISTS report .. I like Brit Hume and other REPORTERS ... I separate the reporters from the advocates/talking heads.
And I fully admit that the right-leaning talking heads have much better audience numbers than the left-leaning talking heads.
Rather than put all my eggs in one media basket ... I try to find people that I respect regardless of which channel they are on.

I actually like the way Katie Couric looks ... but I agree with you Wix ... Fox News has more hot women than any other network ... now Hound will say we are misogynistic ... shoe fits I guess ... :)

As much as I love to tweak the left, the fact is that FoxNews does so well because the mainstream media is so overwhelmingly liberal and in the last election dropped all pretense of impartiality and went all out for Obama. It got so bad that Bill Clinton complained. If you look at the numbers in toto though, there is still a lot more viewers watching what we on the right consider left leaning national news shows.
I think the lack of viewership for left leaning cable news shows is partially attributable to the fact that they can get news presented from their worldview from the networks and don't have to rely on cable news like the right.
As I have often said, I will give them FoxNews if we can have ABC, NBC, CBS, Wash Post, NY Times, etc. The sad truth is the left still dominates the nightly news. This is one reason I find the vitriole toward FoxNews so comical. Doesn't stop me from tweaking when I can.
By the way, I likewise think Katie Couric is attractive but the FoxNews babes are definitely a step above in the looks department. Sorry Hound, but at least I didn't trash Katie. Now as for her politics.......ugh!

Sorry Wix ... I thought I knew what "misogynist" means but I was wrong ... I thought it meant someone who sees women in a sexual nature ... but you are correct .. it really means "hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women". That doesn't describe my thoughts ... and I apologize for saying it decribed yours ... as you say ... I have learned a new word as well .. and one I thought I already knew the meaning of.

I agree with everything you posted MM ... but I would go a step further ... it seems to me that those on the left and in the middle simply aren't as engaged as those on the right/right center ... okay ... those on the far left are engaged .. .but I think most Dems (center and center left) are simply not engaged .. I have no explanation for it .. that's just how it seems to me.
