Thanks Lifer for the info and suggestion, a friend has sent info about many more options than I knew about and in particular some that work off of Verizon towers which is what I’m looking for. Xfinity mobile is an option since I have their internet in another location, just not sure yet if they are on the V network.

You're welcome.  Learned years ago that contract really means poor customer service.  In 14 years or so I have had to contact them 3 times and they were actually helpful becuase they know you aren't locked to them and can switch anytime.  I buy phones at Walmart for $100 or so every few years.

Has anybody changed from Verizon to Visible -- if so Pros and Cons ?

As currently paying $70 per line with Verizon and Visible is like $45 for the highest plan.

Yes, and things are changing with the Visible plans right now. I've been getting non-prioritized 5Mbps max data service for $25.00 per month but I have not perceived any service degredation because, well, I just don't stream video over cellular. My Note 9 phone was not eligible to transfer from Verizon to Visible, and the Visible.com website can lead you through that process. 

Basically the Party Pay plan is going away in several months. They have not announced the termination date of that plan. But the new cheapest of the two new plans they are offering is only $5.00 more and they put you into a higher priority data mode. More info in this video:
