Wal-Mart announced that, on July 1, 2007, it will begin offering customers a
new discount item: Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail
chain is teaming up with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery of California to
produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2- $5 range.

Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Wal-Mart brand
into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for inexpensive wine,"
said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at University of Arkansas,
Bentonville. But she also said "the right name is important."

Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for
the Wal-Mart wine brand. The top surveyed names in order of popularity were:

* Chateau Traileur Parc
* White Trashfindel
* Big Red Gulp
* World Championship Riesling
* NASCARbernet
* Chef Boyardeaux
* Peanut Noir
* I Can't Believe it's not Vinegar
* Grape Expectations
* Nasti Spumante

The beauty of Wal-Mart wine is that it can be served with either white meat
(Possum), or red meat (Squirrel).

P.S. Don't bother posting that this is a hoax. I know that possum is
not a white meat.

No, You want an old vine red zinfandel with dilla. You need something to counter act the rich flavorful taste and add some smoothness to the meal. This time of the year a May wine with half of a strawberrry added to each glass is a simple enought desert. Make sure it is well chilled.

The true coniseur rule of thumb is, the fresher the road kill the whiter the wine. The older the road kill the darker the wine should be. For the oldest road kill we sometimes must revert to " Ancient Age ".

HA! LOL!! What the cracker jack marketers at Wal Mart should do is market a boxed wine with two spouts, one for white and one for red, then when there is heavy traffic and you can offer a buffet, you have all your bases covered. By the way, what do you serve for dessert with a meal like that? roly polys?
