New ideas for dealing with the low water. I have heard it all. People anchoring their boats out in the middle, putting 2x12s on the lake bed for a walkway, and loading boats onto trailers with a forklift. I personally wouldn't risk damaging my boat through loading and unloading from a forklift to a trailer. That is just my personal opinion though.

Necessity is the mother of invention. I wouldn't choose to do some of the things that people are planning to do in order to use their boats. But I understand.

By the way, I met your Dad at the Relicensing meeting last month. He asked APCO, during the meeting, how many days Lake Martin has been at full pool during previous years. The APCO spokesman said that he had no idea and didn't bring along any information on that. Your Dad, I, and everyone else who has paid attention over the years, knew the approximate answer but APCO didn't want to touch that question with a 10 foot pole.

Carnac..........now we may have something to chew on, if they are not observing the sacred license rule of 490 then they must have the flexibility to not observe the sacred license rule of 480. Just have to treat them like LTL's shift supervisor told me he does..."keep 'em under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap".
